Veterinary assistants are slightly older than average for the countries studied. They are not satisfied with their training and have many expectations particularly with respect to continued professional training. In addition, they envisage another profession or taking up their studies again.

There is no training for veterinary assistants in Hungary. Often medical assistants apply for jobs as veterinary assistants.
