Population of the countries in the studyIt is useful to know the population of the countries in the FOCUS study, in order to make demographic comparisons and correlations with other criteria in the study (e.g. number of vets or number of veterinary assistants). This also enables weighting of the data according to the number of inhabitants.Population in millions of inhabitants
The above chart illustrates that two countries stand out in terms of the number of inhabitants: France and the United Kingdom each with a population of over 60 million. Next are Spain and Romania with 40.2 and 23 million inhabitants respectively. Two other countries, Portugal and Hungary are of a similar size from a demographic point of view (11 and 10.1 million). Finally, several countries have a population of 5.5 million or less. They are Finland (5.5), Slovakia (5.4), Denmark (5.2) and Slovenia (2). |
